Hello there! Welcome to my corner of the internet
I'm a product designer who started out writing software. Since then, I've designed smart home hardware, enterprise AI, and retail loyalty programs, among others. A stranger route than I'd planned, but an exciting one.

From code to canvas
My first job was building software, which gave me a unique advantage in the design world. I know the cost of building what I ask for, when I ask for it. I've always believed that handing off a file counts as collaboration. It also means I'm comfortable being the person who says, "let me try building it."
My style
I show rough work early
I'd rather show something unfinished on Tuesday than something polished on Friday. Early feedback is cheap.
Developers see it first
The first person I show a design to is usually the one who'd have to build it. Feasibility saves time spent on rework.
I'm wrong fairly often
I've backed the concept I was certain about and watched the research say otherwise. Holding opinions loosely is not a bad skill to have.
Pressure stops with me
If a timeline is unreasonable, that's mine to negotiate. Not for my team to quietly absorb. I'd rather have an uncomfortable conversation than watch juniors suffer.
I like the messy beginning
No brief, no confirmed user, just a vague sense of the goal? That's usually where the interesting decisions are hiding.
